how long is it posible to stay under water using scuba gear?
whats the longest someone has stayed under water for and whats the longest time one can stay under water for? 3 days ??
Your question can not be easily answered, since the deeper you go, the less time your air will last.
Consider it this way…every time you double your depth, you halve the amount of time the air will last. It’s not accurate, but it’s a rough estimate.
Diving at 30 feet (approx 10m), for someone whom is fit and not exerting themselves, they can spend somewhere around an hour exploring on one tank before they start running critically low.
As for staying underwater, I believe a research crew in the Carribean has the record there. They stayed in a habitat for several months.

I’ve done a little looking around on rebreathers and can’t find specific numbers. The limiting factors are the CO2 scrubber capacity and the O2 resupply size.
The duration record is 82.5 hours.
