Scuba Gear: What types/prices/brands? Professional opinions needed!!?
I’m looking for an package of Scuba Gear, and obviously I want the best I can have. Since I have no experience in the field, I turn to the best place to get answers: the internet.
Hey guys-that-dive! What do you use? What do you recommend for a thousand dollar budget?
I’m looking for reviews, tips, recommendations and anything else I can get.
It’s going to largely depend on where you’ll be diving.
If, like me, you’ll be diving in waters that hardly break 50F at depth, I’d have one suggestion.
if you’ll be diving in 70-80 dergee bath water (:D), I’d be reccommending a different setup.
I suggest this to every diver wanting gear: Check your local dive shops. Most shops can come close to internet pricing, and, as a bonus, can service all gear they sell. They also usually stock gear that is commonly used in your area. My LDS will actually price match many online retailers.
