I really enjoyed that, would’ve been good too though if you’d done the LP cut behind the back of one of your instuctors while he was conducting the first of the confined water training parts of an OW course. Would pay quids to see the looks on the students faces if ypu did. Do UK do bolt cutters too?

No, the tank didn’t …
No, the tank didn’t freeze – you will get some chilling of the first stage – and if in cold water, that could freeze the reg – but we were in an 85 degree pool. And yea… when we cut that hose – it was pretty darn loud – actually scared the heck out of us! But not real ear pain… but it was loud!

The old vintage …
The old vintage double hose stuff was kind of a scam… the air over the left shoulder is actually the exhaust – so they’d always cut that in the movies… the guy still gets air – just his exhausted air comes out the hose instead of going back to the reg behind his head.
