Do you wear a swimsuit or wetsuit when scuba diving?
Both! ( You wear the swimsuit under the wetsuit) I always wear at least a short sleeved and short legged wetsuit (called a shortie), no matter how warm the water is. It helps to protect your skin from getting irritated by the Scuba Gear, and also prevents you from getting scratched by coral or whatever you’re diving near. I also recommend always wearing gloves, so if you need to grab onto something underwater, you don’t get cut by anything.

You would wear a scuba diving suit, with the snorkel and the whole apparatus.

You where a full scuba suit, mask, Tanks, the whole kit. a swimsuit I wouldn’t recommened.

It depends on how warm the water is, and how long I’ll be in. I’ve gone with just a swimsuit in the Florida Keys, I’ve gone with a drysuit and insulating underwear under that in Lake Superior. Different equipment for different environments.

If you go snorkelling, you can wear a swimsuit with goggles & your snorkel. If you go scuba diving, you would need to wear a wet suit(if it’s with a reputable diving instructor) You also have goggles, an oxygen tank and a belt with weights on them to help lower you down to the bottom. You can still wear your swimsuit underneath the wet suit though!

it depends on where you are scuba diving.
If its in a pool for practice, you could just wear a swimsuit, but the cylinder is often uncomfortable.
I would recommend a wet suit for comfort and they keep you slightly warmer.
In really cold water its best to wear a dry suit!

It depends where I’m diving. Here in Scotland, I wear a drysuit as the water temperature is fairly cold. When I was in the Caribbean and on a speedboat, I wore a shorty wetsuit to keep me warm on the boat. I also wore a wetsuit when diving in northern New Zealand. But, on the Great Barrier Reef, I just wore a swimsuit.

I have worn just swim trunks in the past, but I now wear only shorties when diving.
Even when it’s warm on top, it might be cold 50-100 feet down. And you don’t want to go back up just cause you get cold, so better to play it safe.
And, if you spend any time at all on the surface waiting for be picked up, you will prevent your shoulders from getting burnt.
